**Britax Viva and Nexus Strollers - safety notice**

The following notice has been issued by the manufacturer:

Important product (safety) advice
Remedy kit for Britax Viva and Nexus will be available from February 2010

BRITAX Excelsior Ltd. has announced that it will offer a free remedy kit for one of its stroller models that have been sold under the names Viva and Nexus. The remedy kit contains two hinge covers and will be available for all Viva and Nexus strollers.

Though no such injuries have been reported, BRITAX Excelsior Ltd. recently detected a potential risk of injury if a finger or hand is placed in the folding hinge mechanism while the stroller is being opened or closed. Although both the Viva and Nexus strollers meet the European safety regulations, Britax has decided to provide a precautionary remedy kit, offering its customers added protection and optimal safety.

The free kit will be available for all Britax Viva and Nexus strollers - regardless of the manufacturing date - which are recognizable through the product labeling on the side of the stroller.

The remedy kit contains two hinge covers, which easily fit over the left and right hand hinges on the sides of the stroller. The hinge covers have been specifically designed for the Viva and Nexus strollers to provide a secure fit and have been tested to verify their effectiveness. An instruction sheet in the remedy kit will provide specific instructions and visuals to aid in installing the hinge covers.

Until consumers receive their remedy kit and install the hinge covers, Britax recommends that consumers take extra caution to be sure that the stroller is opened or closed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and ensure that fingers and hands are kept away from the stroller when doing so.

Owners of the Viva and Nexus strollers who would like to order the free remedy kit should contact the Britax Child Safety, Customer Service Department at 01264 386034 or nexus@britax.com. Further details are also available at www.britax.co.uk

**IKEA Leopard Children's Highchair - recall**

What's the Problem?

IKEA wants customers who have a LEOPARD children's high chair to stop using the high chair immediately and bring the seat and frame back to the Exchange and Returns department at any IKEA store where they will receive a full refund.

Snap locks that secure the seat to the frame can break making it possible for the seat to drop through the frame. Children can suffer injury to the head and other parts of the body from falls. Detached snap locks pose a choking hazard to children.

In a second incident a detached snap lock was found in a child's mouth but was removed before choking occurred. No further incidents or injuries have been reported.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

For more information, please either visit www.IKEA.co.uk, contact IKEA on 0845 358 3364 or visit the Exchanges and Returns Department of your local store.
